The Oporto Sunset Blue Balcony is located in Rua Dom João IV, very close to the city center. The neighborhood is composed by a set of residental and commercial historical buildings with architectural design, dating back to the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. The street also boasts a set of palaces that are quite unique and give a distinctive historical and posh feeling to the neighbourhood.

The building where the flat is located and other buildings close by, have been recently refurbished and are being mostly used to provide tourist accommodation. The street is quite busy in terms of traffic during rush hours, however, the modern materials used in the flat’s renovation are quite successful in terms of noise reduction, creating a very quiet environment inside. The neighbourhood is very peaceful and extremely safe, both during the day and night times.”
